I believe because we live in a culture where we are free to do whatever we want and where everyone must accept us how we are, it is difficult to understand the cost of leaving all behind to follow Jesus. Jesus did not give us a choice in how to follow Him. He said UNLESS you do this, you cannot be my disciple.
